Times Square, the iconic mecca of commerce, entertainment and tourism offers up its Midtown Manhattan "digs" this coming December 31, 2021 to play host to New York City's New Year's Eve celebration as it has done since 1907. On that date a ball signifying New Year's Day was first dropped at Times Square which was a replacement for a fireworks display deemed a fire hazard by city official. The event is attended by hundreds of thousands New Year's Eve revelers and covered on television internationally.
