"Somebody killed this fella ya met in the bar tonight." And thus begins an investigation involving military buddies out on the town where they come in contact with a civilian couple and murder most dire. Everybody loves a good mystery, and this promises to be an intriguing whodunit bolstered by Robert Young's performance as the investigating detective. But instead of delivering intrigue, Crossfire uses the device to deliver a lecture on societal ills in the post war era.
